I wish I were closer to help with that, a full kitchen clean out is a big undertaking.

And God bless Tom, making a hard choice and just trusting it to God. Inspiring, really.

Have a great babymoon!Maryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02647046851163090769noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6781474098383349170.post-15306690234156988632013-11-20T09:06:40.114-05:002013-11-20T09:06:40.114-05:00Thanks. I might look into that.Christinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00662784804825998751noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6781474098383349170.post-79293350144964356712013-11-20T00:28:54.130-05:002013-11-20T00:28:54.130-05:00Yay for being able to have Bethany at the birth of...Yay for being able to have Bethany at the birth of #3!

For allergy testing, they draw a grid on your back and scratch you with samples of various pollens to see how you react. They might be able to do a blood test as well but I'm not sure. My guess is that seasonal change has you sneezing with leaf molds and such because my son Daniel and I are also afflicted at the moment. My doctor allowed me to have Claritin while I was pregnant with my son so maybe that's an option?jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02567286104645119169noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6781474098383349170.post-635495754521594282013-11-18T20:35:06.237-05:002013-11-18T20:35:06.237-05:00I had severe allergies to ragweed growing up. My eyes started itching worse than usual, it sounds like what you describe, and the doctor said it was from my contacts. I don't remember the treatment, but I remember that after that, I could only wear my contacts for about 8-12 hours, then take a day off. I would ask your OB/GYN if you can use allergy eye drops like Patanol or Zaditor.

For allergy testing, they do prick the skin of your back with all kinds of allergens, to see what you are allergic to. I am currently getting allergy shots to help with my allergies. It has helped tremendously, but I'm pretty sure they won't start you on the shots if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. Not sure about the testing during pregnancy. At first I thought you were saying that Tom's parents had moved to Phoenix! heh.

For allergy testing (in my experience), they poke your back or your arm with all kinds of different allergens in little rows, and then watch to see which ones of them swell up like little mosquito bites. Ugh. I had the testing done and then got allergy shots for a while, but it was too hard to keep up with once I came to Pittsburgh.

Good to hear about Tom's job, and that you guys are at peace with the decision. I'd been wondering what came of that.Katiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06914343351803930748noreply@blogger.com
