Flora never turned, even during the labor, but thankfully, she was also my smallest baby yet!Christinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00662784804825998751noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6781474098383349170.post-91928482385336309062016-03-25T09:52:48.751-04:002016-03-25T09:52:48.751-04:00Posterior labors are INTENSE. 2/3 of my babies wer...Posterior labors are INTENSE. 2/3 of my babies were sunny side up, and whoa. With Clara the doctor tried to manually turn her during a contraction...I do not recommend it. Glad you got through it ok! You'll have to tell me which midwife you had. The one who I had both times is famous for having you push while she reduces the cervix. Hah! I must say... I envy your labors! I'm such a wimp!Caitlynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08321216286329701603noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6781474098383349170.post-64784140160571431362016-03-23T17:00:45.201-04:002016-03-23T17:00:45.201-04:00Well, it was sort of "easy" (this is all...Well, it was sort of "easy" (this is all relative,of course, because it was still labor!) at that point. I was seriously shocked when I came into the hospital at 8cm. Most of the contractions I'd had over the previous several days didn't feel as intense as usual, but I guess they were enough. From the start of my"real" contractions to the birth, it was five and a half hours...I think it would have been a bit less, if we hadn't had to wait for my dad to pick up the kids!

Yes, I will try to write something about her name soon :-)Christinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00662784804825998751noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6781474098383349170.post-91852666503019254252016-03-23T16:24:04.262-04:002016-03-23T16:24:04.262-04:00You make it sound like it was so easy--just casual...You make it sound like it was so easy--just casually chatting with the nurse while at 8cm! haha. And quick? What time was she born?
You should do a post on her name... I'd love to hear how and why you chose it!Katiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06914343351803930748noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6781474098383349170.post-3937474705080636282016-03-23T13:56:43.171-04:002016-03-23T13:56:43.171-04:00Beautiful story! It worked out. :) She's gorgeous. Vernix is great for their skin, I used to be a baby nurse. We just rub it in, lol. It doesn't wash off very well anyway. melhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06637174816423519588noreply@blogger.com
