With Mother's Day quick approaching, Tom asked his mom last week what she might like as a gift. She told him, "just a card, and pictures of the baby." I know she was serious, and she would have been completely satisfied with just that. But I felt like we should do something a little more special....
And then I remembered a clever idea I had seen on Grace in My Heart a few months ago. Many thanks to her for sharing this!
First, you design three signs out of construction paper.
Then, you do everything possible to distract your baby enough that he will hold the signs without eating them or tipping them back. Oh, and you snap pictures. It required Tom and me both to do this. I don't think it would have been as successful with me alone.
(I should have done the Y in a lighter color. But you can still read it.)
And lastly, you assemble the photos. We used a triple photo-frame.
Very simple, but adorable gift! I'll be mailing it out today, and I'm sure Tom's mom will LOVE it.
so cute! I love the framed version!
