haha. Joke's on all of us, I guess. So this beautiful but very pink blanket will be going into storage for the time being. And I'll be beginning as soon as possible on knitting a light green blanket for this new little man.
The pattern is called Sleeping Baby's Castle Blanket, and is for sale on Ravelry |
Perhaps the next one (God willing) will be a girl. It would maintain the pattern we've got going on, at any rate: boy - girl - boy - girl - boy.
Now begins the challenging process of deciding on a boy name. Tom and I are totally deadlocked on this question. We each have a name we love but the other spouse hates. And so far, neither of us have wanted to budge :-P
Congrats! And I'm sorry about the name issue. I completely understand your dilemma- we can never agree on names and always end up compromising. Of course, we agreed on a girl name early on this time, but it ended up being a boy.
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful blanket, by the way! I've never seen one like that.
Yep, that was our situation this time too! We both fully agreed on the girl name. But it's a boy, so back to square one :-)
DeleteHa! Beautiful blanket though! Do you follow Sancta Nomina- the Catholic baby name blog? I'm kind of obsessed. Maybe you'd find an idea there?
ReplyDeleteThat blanket is gorgeous! You have 20 weeks or so to figure it out. :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations and welcome to the 5 kids club (we have 2 girls and 3 boys too.)!
ReplyDeleteI love that blanket. So clever.
I hear ya on the name thing. My husband and I are totally agreed on the kind of name we like (saint, not too obscure) but we disagree quite a bit over the ones we like in particular. With our last baby we chose to wait for the birth to discover the sex and even in the delivery room I had no idea what we would name a boy. We had never been in that place before and I was wondering if he would just give me my way since, childbirth and everything. But it was our baby Cate Zoe.
Congratulations! This is so exciting!
ReplyDeleteFeel free to use Casimir...my favorite that lost three times.
God bless.
