What Happened To My Posts?

To anyone coming here looking to read about the recent events that happened to my family, or for updates on my son, I most sincerely regret to tell you that I had to remove those posts at least for the time being, and I am not supposed to continue to talk about anything that is going on with this.

This is going to be extremely difficult for me, and I'm sure for so many readers as well, who are anxious for updates.  I'm not sure if my blog will even survive this because...whatever will I write about these next few months, if I can't even mention anything that's going on or share any pictures that relate whatsoever to this incident?!

I am still reading through the huge number of very kind comments and e-mails people have sent, and I can't express how much I appreciate them all.  It makes it easier to get through my days, knowing how much love and support we have.  I know it's not an exaggeration to say that Sly has tens of THOUSANDS of people praying for him, all over the world.  And I can definitely feel the power of those prayers working for him.

Thank you thank you all for your concern and interest in our story.  The second I am allowed to say anything or give any sort of update, I promise I will.  In the meantime, if you find my blog becomes pretty boring and impersonal (as I'm afraid it might be forced to become), I won't be offended if you unsubscribe.  Thank you all again.

  1. Prayers for you and your sweet family. I was one of the ones who kept coming back to your blog to see if you had any updates on your little guy. Rest assured I'll still be here praying and following along no matter what you can and can not talk about!

    Lots of love xoxox

  2. Yes, I was just reading Sly's story, and when I went to see the Dec. 18th update, it was gone, as was the post about your tragedy. But, this makes sense, as there will be an investigation. Anyway, my name is Amy, I found your story through a friend, who posted a link via Facebook. I'm so sad for your family, especially little Sly. I hope he's not in a lot of pain, and that he is healing well. I hope you can have him home soon, and back to his happy baby self, and that you can somehow have Christmas together.I will pray for Sly's recovery.

  3. I'm not sure what your situation is but a friend said that you could use some prayers. That's easy for me and I hope that whatever it is you and your family can overcome this tragedy.

Best wishes in the new year - sending love and prayers!

  4. Can you make your blog password protected? That way at least you could express yourself to your close friends over the next few months. Just an idea. :)

I'll continue to pray for you all! Hugs!

  5. You know we are all going to be chomping at the bit to hear updates, so don't worry about any of us going anywhere. We all want Sly to recover quickly and for this experience to be behind you all.

    loads of hugs and prayers

  11. Oh dear, it sounds like you have had an attack of the lawyers.

Best wishes for a fast and easy recovering for you and your baby. I read your posts about the tragedy and his update and prayed before you had to take them down.

  12. That must be frustrating!I will remain a follower and hope to one day hear about his recovery. Until then, I will be praying for him.

  15. After reading your story I cried. Words cannot even express the way I feel about what has happened to your family and especially your son. Looking at the post lower on the page with him happy and walking around make me hurt for your family even more.
Your family is definitely in the hearts of many this holiday season. I hope knowing this will at least help you to get through this difficult time. May your new year begin 10,000 times better then this year is ending.

  17. I came here from a link on Facebook.. she says we need to pray for your family.. I dont know what happened but Im praying your family recovers fully and quickly. Praying for you all!!

  18. I only found out about your blog when I followed a link from another blog that said you needed prayers. I did get to read the story about what happened to Sly along with your update from the other day. Regardless of whether or not you can update here on the blog I will continue to pray for your little boy.

  19. No worries. We won't unsubscribe. We will keep praying until we hear otherwise from you. Hang in there.

  20. I must admit that I am a little sad about this. Your story has touched my heart and I HAVE NOT been able to get Sly and your family out of my head. I really hope you are able to post updates soon as I, along with many others I'm sure, would love to celebrate his healing with you. I am still praying and will continue to pray for a full and quick recovery and will continue to check back for any update you may be able to post. May God bless your son and hold him up as he starts down this long road to recovery.

  22. A friend posted the link to your blog a few days ago and I subscribed after I read your story. I'll be sticking around because you seem like a sweet family.

Praying for Sly and your family during this difficult time!

  23. I did read the story and was sharing it for prayer, and I will continue to pray for your family and Sly even though I can't wait for updates. I know you may not be feeling very lucky right now but I believe God saved your baby. If he was strapped in that stroller he could have been much worse off. I think that an Angel must have unstrapped your boy so that he would survive. Keep faith and keep believing in prayer.

  24. I have a 10 mo old little boy & I can't imagine going through this. It makes my heart break for your little guy! I'd give him a hug if I could :) *virtual hug* My thoughts are with you & your family.
    Merry Christmas

  25. I understand in a way...but it still seems stupid to me. You are not on a jury and are not talking about any case. You should be allowed to update people on your son - people who are praying.

Are you allowed to set up a care page at the hospital?

    ReplyDelete
  26. I'm so sorry for what you've gone through. I read your story before you removed it, although I didn't see the update, and every time I think of it, I cry. I pray for a speedy recovery for your poor son and for peace for your family.

  27. My hope is that you continue to journal and then post when you can. I am brand new and will be rallying the troops in support. Prayers for you and your family- Strength for the journey and that you feel the comforting prayers of love and light going up for you and your family.BLESSINGS!

  28. I've been meaning to post for a while, I have been reading about your tragedy. Your family is in our prayers. I'm also going to pray for the driver of the truck. At first I was outraged and out for blood, but your calm, sweet, grateful writing made me realize that he probably needs prayers too.

  29. We will not stop praying. Sending love to your baby.

  33. I was made aware of your blog because of your tragedy...I want you to know I am praying, as are my friends and family who are all over this country and even in several others. Please, know that your son and the rest of your family are covered in prayer for the long haul!

  34. I understand when lawyer stuff happens. Will add those concerns to our prayers for you and your little one!

Someday would love to read the whole story, complete with pictures of the little one all better!

    Meanwhile, prayers here too!

  35. Make that tens of thousands + 1 prayers.

  36. I understand what you are saying. Just know that our prayers will continue with or without the blog.

  38. Will continue to lift you all up in prayer even if you are unable to update us.

  39. Man, all that legal/investigative stuff is always no fun at all. Even though you can update here, for your sake and for posterity, I totally suggest that you keep doing the blog posts in the blogger editor & just save them as drafts. Then, once you can update, you'll still have the whole story! :)
    Continuing to pray for Sly!!

  40. You and your son are in our prayers.... we pray for a speedy recovery.

  41. Well, I'm kinda bummed, because I'm curious as to how your little boy is doing. <3

But I also do understand, and either way, you have another new reader. I will continue to keep you all in my thoughts!

  42. You are in our prayers and thoughts. I agree with Sara...keep writing and when you can click post...do so with a thrill and a glee! In the mean time I hope you will be able to share prayer requests and praises. I am sure there is nothing illegal about that:) Maybe a Caring Bridge site while your little one heals?

    ReplyDelete
  43. We'll continue to pray for your family and can't wait to hear about how your baby continues to improve! In Him all things are possible!

    ReplyDelete
  44. Prayers continued! I agree with an earlier poster - could you make it password protected so that your closest friends could share in your updates and then eventually the rest of us could join in the good news!? At least it would still give you this outlet... just without so many eyes reading. I may be new to your blog, but I won't be unsubscribing. I look forward to the day when you will be able to greet us all once again with great updates about your sweet little man!

  45. I just heard your news. I am sending prayers up for your son and your family. May God be with you.

  46. I also was directed here by a friend and was coming to check the update. We will continue to pray and hope that everything goes smoothly for you all. Update when they ok it, and have a Merry Christmas (or try to anyway!) Love prayers and virtual hugs from my family!

  47. I will pray for your family. I am stunned. I do not know much of what happened...but from the very tiny picture on facebook...it just made me very sad.
    Prayers and love!

  48. A friend posted about you on FB and my heart broke for you and your family. I'm not going anywhere- I can't. Not now. Whenever you get to come back and whatever you post I'll be here, waiting & praying. The bible says "By His stripes we ARE healed" not "will" be healed or "can" be healed but ARE healed. Your baby IS HEALED in Jesus' name! I can't wait to start hearing about the miracles! (Yes, I'm a Charismatic Christian. I can't help myself :.> )

  49. I, too, found your story from a link on Facebook. I read the first two posts and was coming back for more info. I'll be keeping you and Sly and your family in my prayers. May the Lord bless you all.

  50. Sly is in my thoughts nearly every moment of the day. While I've never experienced something like this, I did watch my infant son go through two surgeries. They were minor, thank goodness, but I still ached very much to hold him during those times. So I can empathize to an extent, and certainly sympathize.

As a former paralegal, I understand why you cannot discuss details. I would absolutely love an update to simply know how Sly is doing, and I will keep an eye out for that.

Every day, I am asking for healing energy for your adorable little guy.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Your son is in my prayers and I sincerely hope his recovery will be a speedy one! I guess the lawyers told you not to talk about the accident. Well, it's for your benefit, not the truckers. I know you'll win the law suit, and I hope that's not a long drawn out case! Good Luck and please keep us updated on your son. Just little notes as to how he's doing (Sly's doing great today, etc.). I don't think that would go against the gag order.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I read about your family on facebook. I will be praying for Sly's full recovery. I also think it would be a good idea for you to write the posts but not publish them until you are able. Then you will have the whole story one day.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Praying for your son! I hope he gets better in no time! Praying for you and your husband too for guidance during this time.

    ReplyDelete
  54. You should still blog about it....dont publish it but save them as dafts that way you can still get it all down on "paper" while it is fresh in your mind! I am not the praying type but you and your little boy will remain in my thoughts and I will continue to check in and hope lots of happy updates are in the near future!

    ReplyDelete
  55. I'm sorry you've lost your emotional outlet, but you haven't lost the prayer and concern of the blogosphere.

    ReplyDelete
  56. A friend linked your blog yesterday and, thankfully, I left up the page describing the "accident" to be read today. Of course, I started looking for updates and I see that you had to remove any. Just want to say, that I'm praying for you and Sly and so thankful that he survived such a horrific event.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Prayers to your family. I was coming back to check on how he was doing...sad to read that you can't have your "outlet"...as I know my blog is/was my outlet when I'm going through hard times.

    Hugs....

    ReplyDelete
  58. I also came back to today to check on Sly and his parents. I'm so sorry you won't be able to update everyone, but also hope that you continue to write the posts, as I'm sure it will be theraputic for yourself. You will continue to be in my prayers.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I came back to check in and see how he's doing. I'll keep praying for him and your family. Take care <3

  60. I also found out about you on FB. I read what happened, and cried. I know you have a million things on your plate, but we are all praying for you in my home. I am not sure if you can answer this, but do you need help with Dr bills? I can only imagine that they are stacking up. If you set up some sort of place where we can donate, I know I would. My daughter is 7 and she also read ( over my shoulder) about what happened. Her entire class is praying for you and they want to help. I KNOW you have so much going on, but could they send you letters ( or send them to Sly)? So when he is happy and old enough to read he will know just how loved he is? If the answer is no, I totally understand. I would probably not give my personal info to some random people online either.

    ReplyDelete
  61. You and your little boy our in my prayers! Really I understand why you can't talk about the accident, but no being able to post updates on sly and his recovery just makes no sense to me. He is your son and what happens from the accident forward should be your business. I am a paralegal and if it is for a legal reason, it makes no sense to me why you can't post updates on your family during his time of recovery. That should not at all effect the investigation concerning the accident itself. Anyway, I will being praying for you and I wish your family the best during this difficult time. I will keep reading your blog regardless :)

    ReplyDelete
  62. Continuing to pray for your family during this time!

    ReplyDelete
  63. Continued prayers! I'll eagerly await the day when you can tell us that he's home and happily playing!

    ReplyDelete
  64. You could probably still write blogs for yourself to have later and possibly publish later. Just save them as a draft.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I came across your blog via a link posted from my friend on Facebook. I didn't get to read the entire post regarding the details of the accident and when I went back it was gone, but I got the gist of it. My heart goes out to your family and I'm so very sorry you are going through this. I'm assuming a lawyer is advising you not to post updates and details about the accident and trust me when I say that he/she is absolutely looking out for your best interests. Insurance companies and opposing counsel scour the internet for everything these days, we make our clients sign acknowledgment letters that they will not post. I promise in the end this will all work out and I will keep your little Sly in my prayers.

    ReplyDelete
  66. this is very understandable. I am sure they are due to legal issues. I found your blog when another blogger posted it. I'll continue to keep your families in my prayers and look forward to the day when you say that your precious baby boy is better.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I will not unsubscribe! I wish you and your son well, and I know your readers will be here to support you when you return! Best wishes!

  68. Not a chance of unsubscribing and will be sticking it out. Prayers lifted up for you and Sly untill your return.

  69. You and your family are in my prayers! John 14:13'14 says we can ask for ANYTHING in Jesus name and God will answer it.. When you pray claim this scripture! God Bless You!

  70. Christine, just letting you know that we have been praying for Sly since your first blog about what happened. ( a member of our little group called "Prayer Warriors" posted it there.) Will continue to keep you all in our prayers. May God bless you and give you strength to get through this.

  71. Ugh. My husband was in a serious car accident that is still in litigation 3.5 years later. I understand, and I will remain and look forward to hearing that the whole thing is in the past for your family! (I'm sure the legal stuff won't take nearly as long for you!)

    ReplyDelete
  72. I wondered if that would happen... but we are continuing to pray for you and your little guy. My five-year-old asks me every night at bedtime, "Is that baby still hurting?" She thinks of Sly often. :)

    ReplyDelete
  73. thinking of you and sly and praying all gets resolved.

  77. hugs to you. Why don't you just blog via word etc to yourself. Like what you would have shared here with your readers and family. It will possibly help you process things as the hours and days move forward. Sorry to hear about the "gag" order for blogging. you can share the joys of the day by saying simple things like today the sun was shining on us and things were going in the right direction. Today was a cloudy day as moodiness came over us. something generic but will allow you to let others know how things are going without details.

Praying for a positive recovery for Sly, you and your family during this journey. God doesn't give folks things that can not handle...no matter the level of difficulty. you all will come out on the other side.

You will see smiles on your baby boy's face again and laughter from him again if he hasnt already shown you.

    ReplyDelete
  78. I was pointed towards your blog post about Sly by another blogging friend. Your little boy has been in my thoughts and I keep coming back, reading little bits and pieces from the past.

As a suggestion, since you are used to writing, you can start a LiveJournal locked blog or another Blogger one that is password protected. I'm sure you know the wonderful power of putting words to paper (or computer) when you're worried, stressed or contemplative, so finding an acceptable outlet should be encouraged. :)

Prayers for you, Tom and Sly

  81. A little baby in Calgary AB Canada was just hit by a car, while in their stroller, waiting at an intersection. It made me think back to your story, and search for your blog. How is Baby Sly now? My kids and I prayed for him that Christmas season, your family was in our thoughts. I guess I could search blog posts to find the answer.
